Uday Kumar Talluri is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in developing switching and security platforms software. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Information Technology from the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. Uday's expertise lies in C, C++, and Python programming languages, with hands-on knowledge of SQL. He has worked on different hardware switching vendor platforms like Trident, Maverick (Broadcom), Aldrin, Aldrin2, Falcon (Marvel), and Cisco. Uday has designed and developed Quality of Service(QOS) for different switching and security platforms and has a profound interest in Data structures and Algorithms. He has worked on several protocols like VLAN, 802.1q, STP, RSTP, ACL, RACL, VACL, LACP, LLDP, CDP, and DHCP. Uday has experience in designing, developing, and unit testing several features on the switching and security platforms. He has also designed and developed the packet capture feature, which helps in analyzing the important flows for Cisco 4000 and 9000 series security platforms. Uday is well-versed with Traffic generators like IXIA explorer, Spirent, and breaking point. He has designed and developed QoS features such as buffer management, scheduling, WRED/ECN, and PFC for Nexus 2K/5K/6K and several security platforms. He has also implemented Policers and storm control features for switching platforms. Uday has worked on several memory management features regarding the Quality of Service and designed and developed the POE+ (Power over Ethernet) feature for Cisco 1000 security platforms. He has hands-on experience on live Cisco Data Centre Switches, building topologies. He has also fixed bugs (Customer found/Internal) that are present in existing security platforms, code reviews, and helped the interns and new joiners in ramping up to the current project state. Currently, Uday is working as a Software Engineer IV at Cisco. He has previously worked as an Intern at Intel and as a student at the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore. Uday holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from SBIT.
